The Gables Named “Best of the Best”

The Gables at East Mountain, along with its companion community The Meadows at East Mountain, was named The Best Of The Best 2018 Winner for Senior Living by Rutland Herald readers in their annual Best of the Best Reader’s Choice Awards. This was the third year in a row that The Gables received this recognition.

Every year, Rutland Herald readers are asked to vote for their local favorites in an array of categories including restaurants, the arts, retail stores, media, medical, tourism, and other assorted services and business providers. The Gables/Meadows won their category over six other senior-oriented living communities on the online ballot.

All Best of the Best winners were notified in mid-August, and were assembled soon thereafter for a photo that was featured in the Rutland Herald’s special Best of the Best tabloid section.

“It is an honor to have The Gables recognized by the greater Rutland community,” said Jay Grimes, executive director of The Gables. “Credit for this achievement really goes to our staff. It’s their commitment to our residents that truly makes us the best of the best.”
